At the core of USISI SISTER is sisterhood. We are constantly inspired by the women around us, and we wanted to celebrate them.

Introducing our lockdown series; ‘Every Home Tells A Story’. Which profiles female photographers who inspire us, at home during Lock down 2.0, in our new Winter collection. At the centre of this project is a focus on empowering women. This series of self-portraits focuses on the female gaze and representation.

MORGAINE LAY

Morgaine is a fashion photographer based in London for the past 7 years. Originally board and raised by the sea in Biarritz, France.

How would you style this outfit during Lockdown?

"I'm lucky enough to have kept working through this second lockdown so I'd wear these pieces out with a pair of flat sole chunky boots. Perfect for Autumn/Winter."

Where do you look for inspiration during covid times?

"There's always different things inspiring my work at different moments. But during lockdown I've spent time looking at old magazines and photography books that I've had on the shelf for ages and rarely taken the time to appreciate fully."

PIA RIVEROLA

Pia Riverola was born and raised in Barcelona and currently resides between Los Angeles and Mexico city. With an acute eye for detail and color, she creates captivating images across the genres of fashion, still like, landscape and architectural photography around the world. Her work has been seen featured in several publications including vogue and wall street journal magazine, and her select clients include Balenciaga Proenza Schouler.

How would you style this outfit during the lock down?

"I would host a petit comite mediterranean Summer dinner in my backyard in Los Angeles, and have a barefoot dance party after desert."

Where do you look for inspiration in covid times?

"I look for inspiration in nature mostly, I love walking around my neighbourhood early in the morning and pick flowers for home, I find a lot of peace and inspiration in the sunrise and sunset light."

EVA SALVI

Eva is a French fashion photographer based in London. She first picked up a Camera around the age of fifteen and is mostly self taught (although she has a masters in photography from Central Saint Martins).

How would you style this outfit during the lock down?

"I have styled my USISI SISTER sweater with some wide, comfy Palazzo trousers. Hair up for minimal effort when working from home and a pair of Anissa Kermiche earrings to pull the look together."

Where do you look for inspiration in covid times?

"Whether I am shooting fashion or portraiture, what I am interested in is telling stories, whether they be imaginary or not. Whole lockdowns have made physical meet ups tricky, I would say I have drawn my inspiration from human contact."

KARIS BEAUMONT

Karis is a British-Jamaican photographic artist. She uses photography, art direction and occasional styling to create emotive imagery centred around African Diasporic cultures and beauty.

How would you style this outfit during the lock down?

"With the lockdown taking away the shopping experience, I re-explored my own wardrobe + carefully played around with colour palettes to match the beautiful coat! My Mother also has a beautiful collection of jewellery, bags + boots that I have the privilege of experimenting with".

Where do you look for inspiration in covid times?

"I try to be consistent with morning walks, which puts me in a tranquil, reflective headspace and also sets the tone for the rest of the day. I live in a town with miles of stunning natural scenery, which I'm highly appreciative of!"

OLIVIA FROLICH

Olivia is a Danish photographer, currently living in Copenhagen. Married to a Scott with two small boys.

Where do you look for inspiration during covid times?

"I have been very happily re-reading the biography of Lee Miller - an American female photographer, who had a very interesting life story.

When we have been allowed out are always drawn to nature. Which we spend most of our time in, it is a huge comfort especially for my photography"
